This morning I wrote to all members to inform them of the decisions taken by your Management Committee at our last meeting.
Our Grades 5 and 7 teams are still in with a chance of making the play-offs. Hopefully both sides can keep the good momentum going. A reminder though to all members, please let the Competition Panel know any time you are unavailable. This notification should be in person to one of the Competition Panel members, by phone, or by email.
Competition Panel Vacancy - Appointment
Following a rigorous application process, I am delighted to announce the Management Committee unanimously appointed Dom Surace to fill the vacancy on the Competition Panel. Dom brings a great deal of experience to this role having previously served as a selector at Dural. I know all members will join with me in congratulating Dom on his appointment.
Turn Around Triples and Koala Carnival
Both carnivals had full cards with 28 teams participating in each event. My thanks to all involved with the recent Turn Around Triples and Koala Carnivals, especially Gary Tyrrell, Michael Schwarcz and Dallas Palm.
BowlsNSW Review of State Conditions of Play
The State Match Committee will soon begin the process of reviewing the 2016 Conditions of Play. Submissions are invited from all members to be considered in the review and the drafting of the 2017 Conditions of Play. Submissions should address any concerns with the current Conditions of Play. Submissions may also address suggestions for improvement or address issues not currently covered in the Conditions of Play. Please email your suggestions to Michael Schwarcz by COB Friday 21 May 2016. More information is available on the Koala Blog.
Game Start Times
Again, some members have been turning up late for bowls or in some cases not at all. It is imperative that members turn up on time for bowls or advise the selectors as soon as possible if they are not attending. Game times for regular social bowls are provided on the Koala Blog or by clicking here.
The full minutes of the meeting will be published on the Koala Blog for all members shortly.
