WPH Bowling Club Tour TASMANIA
27th Jan 2017 - 8th Feb 2017
Estimated Cost $3100.00 per couple.
Following our Lemon Tree Passage excursion and a very successful trip last October to Norfolk Island your tour coordinator has been busy planning for a WPH Bowling Club tour to Tasmania which includes Hobart, the East Coast of the island and Launceston. In total, 14 days touring and 5 games of bowls against different clubs.
The tour Itinerary includes arrival in Hobart on the 27th of January. We spend 5 nights in Hobart city staying at the Quality Midcity Hotel. There are planned day tours out of Hobart to regions including the likes of Port Arthur and the Huon Valley and also 2 afternoons of bowling against clubs in and around Hobart.
We then move north to the seaside village of Scamander where we spend 5 nights at the Scamander Beach Hotel Motel. Day tours are planned to take in the beautiful surrounding scenery both to St Helens and Bay of Fires region in the north and to Bicheno, Coles Bay and the Freycinet Peninsular in the south. Two afternoons of bowling is included and are likely to be at Bicheno and Scamander bowling clubs.
Leaving the east coast we travel through north eastern Tasmania to Launceston for 3 nights staying at the Commodore Regent hotel near the city. Our stay will include an afternoon of bowling with a planned day tour to take in the region. Returning to Sydney on the 8th Feb.
We will have a coach in Tasmania at our disposal for the duration of the tour. This includes transits to and from airports to accommodation, day tours, bowling club excursions and transport to each of our tour destinations. Based on indicative costs for our air travel, coach hire including transits to Sydney Airport and all accommodation the total tour cost will be approximately $3,100.00 per couple. This costing may be subject to changes at the time of booking. Note that the costing does not include any allowances for meals, any special independant tour costs and entry fees and any bowling club fees if applicable.
To secure all travel matters and costs we need to book up all components urgently within the next few weeks.
Planning in further detail for the tour package can now only take place by having firm numbers of those touring. With this in mind all those who may wish to participate are invited to a tour briefing to be held at the club on Tuesday 8th March at 5.30 pm. All welcome.
