2013 Challenge Cup – A bowler’s view

Well it was an exciting day for us all. We all gathered for coffee and tea, or as most would call a heart starter. The weather was magnificent and the greens were in good shape.

2013 Challenge CupWPH started with a big lead at the break for lunch. I can’t remember the exact amount, but it was bloody good for WPH. The lunch was fish and chips and salad, which was excellent, a well done for the WPH kitchen staff. In the afternoon everybody was getting a little tired, but at the end of the day WPH led PH 314 to 305.

Now last year PH won by 8 shots, but this year due to a greater commitment our great and illustrious bowlers, they brought the bragging rights home. WPH won by an astounding 9 shots much to the delight of our bowlers and a big smile form Peter, as you will see in the photos.

A big thank you to Peter Eagle and Max Walters and all the helpers for a wonderful day. I would also like to thank Terry and the PH for the participation and between our clubs providing the great day.
